While we recommend silk to be dry cleaned with a specialized outlet such as your local dry cleaner, it can also be hand washed in warm water. Use mild detergent and rinse in cool water adding a tablespoon of white vinegar to neutralize the detergent and keep fabric shiny. Do not tumble dry and do not wring wet, but gently squeeze out excess water. Lay it flat to dry, away from direct sunlight. You can also wash silk in a washing machine on a delicate cycle using the same formula and inside a mesh bag to protect it from catching on other items.

We recommend painted silk to be cleaned with a specialized outlet such as your local dry cleaner, to preserve its delicate detail. When clean, store your wearbale art in a cool, dry and dark place. Hanging it in a breathable cotton bag, or a zipped garment bag will help keep it wrinkle-free for when you’re ready to wear it again.

Our velvet fabric is a knit fabric and can be machine washed on a gentle cycle in temperatures up to 60 degrees celsius. With velvet, always use a steamer instead of an iron to prevent surface damage. Store as you would any stretch fabric garments, such as T-shirts.

Unframed fabric art in silk, velvet and other materials should be hung away from direct sunlight and placed in an area where it can be safe from liquid staining. Maintain unframed silk sculpture with routine, dry-cloth dusting and annual surface steam. Unframed velvet art should be dusted routinely with a clean, damp cloth and surface steamed annually. Care and placement concern for your fabric art can be eliminated by framing it in an encasement at your local framing specialist.

We recomend all drawings to be framed by a specialized outlet such as your local frame store. Drawings’ delicate nature is best kept enclosed and protected from the elements.

Framed and unframed canvases should be kept in controled enviroments avoiding extreme heat, extreme cold, and humidity. Do not hang your art in direct sunlight, over fires, radiators, heaters, in bathrooms or kitchens. Gently dust with a fine linen cloth for rutine cleaning.
